Consciousness will be a struggle. My dad is already snoring at the TV. At least he made it through the pre-race show.

What a joke of a shit show the first five minutes of this race has turned out to be. Can we pretty please revisit why we can't bring the glory days of CART back? There's some great side by side action happening, but that's because the handling of the new cars looks atrocious. I propose a new drinking game, a shot for every brake lock and mechanical retirement.

Why didn't you turn! Relevant to kobayashi's driving abilities.

He's fast but reckless, just like pastor.
It's a serious shit show so far, they should have been allowed more testing considering the changes. Also, limiting the teams to 5 engines on the fisrt year of these motors is a bit enthusiastic.
Having drivers bailing out to save an engine is nothing to make a better show.
Oh well

kobayashi was definitely faster in his past life as a competitive hotdog eater. I'd prefer he stick to jamming those in his mouth than the front of his car into every object on the track. Also, what's the chance that his crash grenaded that engine. Hell the engines have a hard enough time running on their own, now add in some hitting shit, spinning out, and gravel and you've got a recipe for a short season.

No, I've been doing it for years. I have like 50 full length movies on my computer that I've stolen off of the internet. It's very useful.
I use streaming for all of my motorsport stuff.

It sucks for Massa, he would probably fighting for a podium.
Rosberg is in another dimension, I guess Horner was not that much sandbagging when he said merc could finish 2 laps ahead of the pack

Well your prophecy has come true, looks like Maldonado just crapped the bed. I'm not sold on Rosberg yet until he has enough time and speed to coast across the line pending his crap can breaks down too.

I'm liking this Magnussen kid, Merc is def strong but Ive really got my fingers crossed that the engineers figure things out quick. It's pretty sad that the pinnacle series in motorsport has guys cruising around using only their front brakes.

Gee, as a motor sport fan, I would think you'd prefer a car that relies more heavily on the driver's skill than on a large amount of downforce...

If Bottas hadn't hit the wall he'd be on the podium. Let's hope he looks like this in future races...could be fun to watch him.

I'll bite, with that logic I guess the most challenging display of Motorsport skill would be skid plate or ice racing because unless you have supernatural talent you're going to have a hard time not crashing. Cars that are not mechanically ready or setup to race is not a whole lot of fun imo, it looks sloppy not challenging. I'd expect a better showing as things get figured out but let's not try to polish a turd when cars are pulling off the track due to mechanicals before they can warm the tires. If you want a display of true driver skill then put them in identically manufactured and setup cars, if not then expect the engineering to be just as highly scrutinized as a driver's decisions after a poor showing.
